Ive been using glasses for years starting in high school and then contacts within the last few years. The glasses were fine, but glasses dont necessarily help with ones peripheral vision. Contacts were fine as well, but those arent the cheapest things around and a hassle to put on and take off then clean them. Not to mention that I also had to keep track of how many times Ive worn them before throwing them out or risk any health complications. That and having to ensure that I was never in an area where dirt, sand, loose debris, etc. could get in my eyes. The Lasik operation itself was seemless. Dr. Updegraff and his staff gave me clear guidance and kept me informed of every step that was occurring. After the operation, they gave me everything I needed for post-op care and clear instructions for those post-op care items. Very professional staff and excellent service.

Had my operation yesterday and am thrilled with the results. Have worn glasses and contacts for more than half of my life, and now my vision is even better than 20/20! The staff at this office is extremely nice, professional, and understanding. I was nervous beforehand, but was eased by the staff who were calming, and I was given Valium in order to relax and sat in a recliner with headphones provided as I waited to be called into surgery. Dr. Updegraff was extremely nice and walked me through the entire procedure and told me exactly what he was doing. I went home and napped, and woke up with clear vision. Today, one day post-op, I had an appointment where the staff was quick and very informative and told me everything I need to do in the coming weeks to ensure success. Dr. Updegraff is world-renowned for a reason and his office operates like a well-oiled machine!! I would recommend him to anyone considering LASIK!
